    If the methane or other gases are coming from the mantle of the earth, we are in the proverbial, "up shit's creek without a paddle." Not to say we shouldn't continue to do our small part in trying to heal the planet.

    These two images show a longer timeline of methane readings, top one from Canada, bottom one from Alaska. Just thought I'd add those since graphs can be misleading and all(notably the drop in methane release in the Russian one). Let's hope this isn't the beginning of negative feedback loops.
