Yes SOP is sorely missed and his departure was directly related to Len's contributions here. We are praying that Grahame also decides to return....

Surprised no one called me on my "Surfer" statement for politics.

    Oh well.

    I miss SoP also.

I think we are all hoping to catch a good wave ourselves Pak! Did you see the post on the main page about surfing and permaculture a few months back?

You don't mention the unions so I presume you think they are not to blame for ever increasing wages.

Of course I did, I have even been so bold in this thread to even link the surf report to the beach I normally go to. However, I will admit some trepidation now that I will post in a moment in a new thread.

You two need to get together and make banana / toffee pie... And eat it after a surf.

He (SOP) didn't believe me. :(

    BTW, back slightly on topic.

My political views are that of a Permaculturalist Surfer that tries to think 7 generations ahead. In other words, while federal governmental politics may effect me directly, or indirectly, I find it more important to work on my own self & that of my immediate environment within a given distance that I know I can impact for the better. The surfing part makes me sensitive to the plight of the more less fortunate around the world & gives me a view point of how things impact one another; from saving an adult tiger shark, or a coral reef from the US. Army Corp of Engineers to cleaning rivers & bays from debris and so forth to working with Surf Aid. because I truly believe in 2 "true-isms." 1) As the philosopher Bruce Lee once said, "Under the stars, under the heavens, we are but 1 family." 2) Mitakuye Oyasin, which translated means... ..we are all related. Given that, how can I not try to think 7 generations ahead of myself as to what the best answers are? Difficult? Yes, but worth it in the long run.

Only because you didn't cite sources or provide any evidence. How can I believe you?

Note: This is sarcasm like my PM.

Just to let everyone know, I didn't leave entirely because of Len. I'll explain later.

Sounds like many (older Australian) taxi drivers I have had the displeasure of riding with. The shock-jocks most lucrative missionary.

Medically or philosophically informed, Markos: "2 glasses a night, 4 on Saturdays"? Either way, I have been abiding by this prescription for years.
