Hi everyone, some time ago (not more than two weeks), I read on the forum a reply to a thread where the writer gave a link to a site where you could download certain books in electronic format. I have the book Gaia's Garden, but I'm leaving home for almost two months and didn't finish reading the book. To take my books would not be an option, as weight is a problem when air-traveling. So it would be great if I could download it, as the laptop has to go with me. But.... I don't know where I saw this reply....!!!! I have been searching, and can't find it. If anybody can help me PLEASE!!!!!
Hi Ellen "By chance I passed this way today ………." I believe the link you’re looking for is: https://files.uniteddiversity.com/Permaculture/ However you must thank Fernando for the original posting. So how’s life in Namibia? As a much younger Ecology undergraduate I was fascinated by the Kalahari Desert, especially the Succulent Karoo. Unfortunately I never got to visit, but it’s on my list of things to do. I noticed Article 95 of the Namibian Constitution states, "The State shall actively promote and maintain the welfare of the people by adopting international policies aimed at the following: maintenance of ecosystems, essential ecological processes, and biological diversity of Namibia, and utilization of living natural resources on a sustainable basis for the benefit of all Namibians, both present and future." Surely an inspiration not only for permaculturalists but the entire world.
Thanks a lot, great, yes that's exactly what I was looking for!! And if you ever think of coming this way, you're most welcome to visit!
Hi Ellen A pleasure to be of service and many thanks for your kind invitation. I certainly hope to visit the Kalahari one-day and on the occasion of that happy event I’ll give you a call! If I can be of any further assistance please don’t hesitate to ask.
Here is another one, toilet reading for the so inclined. https://rapidshare.com/#!linklist|ORAVUN||| Thanks to Cybil,Pasquali and little MO Best wishes Fernando
Hey Fernando, this was a great link but I didn't get around to downloading more than a couple. Do you know if they're available elsewhere? Cheers
Just to make sure people aren't missing it, and I'm sure they wouldn't but it doesn't hurt to make sure. Go to the root directory and you are given many more books in more fields, not just permaculture. https://library.uniteddiversity.coop/ That's a good one. They even send you a HDD in the post if you can't download it. Nice.
