Geoff Lawton – Online PDC – Scholarship for NGO

I am offering the opportunity for NGO’s, working in the area of food security and sustainability, to participate in a scholarship program for my Online Permaculture Design Course. I am looking to form educational partnerships with NGO’s who can offer the facility to teach small groups of people the Permaculture Design Course.

How it works:

The course is run online over 12 weeks and can be accessed at any time. The course starts on February 7th. It involves viewing lessons on video and submitting comments and questions about the course work in text, below each lesson video. I will be answering questions continually through out the course. For groups with a slow internet connection, a set of course DVD’s can be sent to be viewed offline. An internet connection will be needed to view the comments and participate in text-based questions.

Requirements:

Are you a registered NGO working with poor people in need in a country with development aid?
Is your organization aligned with Permaculture ethics?
Do you have a website you can direct us to, so we can verify your organization?
Do you have someone who speaks English, who could facilitate a small group watching DVDs, translating if necessary and asking questions online?

Offer:

We offer promotional support through major web site exposure, increasing the possibility of extra financial support and funding if well-written articles and photographs are provided.

Certification will be offered if a full design presentation submission from each student is translated into English and verified as genuine by the directors of the NGO and submitted online, the same as all paying students.

If this opportunity interest you, please contact us at permaculturedesigncourse.net/support and open a support ticket and tell us your story.

  1. That is a GREAT resource and can help many people create living lasting abundance on this planet. Thank goodness for the human spirit to be so well expressed. Lesson 1 is slap-bang in this article – become enlightened for the benefit of others !

  2. This is a very interesting offer. In case my organization doesn’t match youyr criteria, is it possible to attend it individually? If so, what is its cost?

  3. Hi there. I work for an NGO in Lesotho. We need permaculture principles to address widespread land degradation and food insecurity. It looks like we’re too late to apply for the current PDC course. Will there be another opportunity to apply for a scholarship? I hope so! Thanks.
