Geoff Lawton is a world renowned Permaculture consultant, designer and teacher. He first took his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course in 1983 with Bill Mollison the founder of Permaculture. That is just fantastic on so many levels. Wow! I just love the simplicity, beauty and functionality of lost or forgotten methods of doing almost anything we now use expensive and complicated technology to achieve.

The thought that often crosses my mind in this regard is how sometimes building/zoning laws/codes can make much, if not most, self-made, traditional, experimental and/or alternative, etc. housing prohibitive.
