PDC in Austria: May 9-20, 2013

Bliss Permaculture is happy to announce that it is holding a Permaculture Design Certificate Course in the beautiful rolling foothills of the Austrian Alps in May 2013.

In this PDC you will learn all the major topics of Bill Mollison’s A Designers’ Manual and you will be equipped with the concepts to design and work in all bioregions. Complementing lessons held in a dynamic classroom environment, you will get hands-on permaculture experience that will enable you to get your own projects in your home communities started quickly and properly: Permaculture gardening, composting, reading the landscape, surveying and of course designing!

The course will be held in a retreat setting near a small village in the beautiful region of Wienerwald, the Vienna Forest. It is well known as a nature paradise and holiday destination and is only 20 km from the city of Vienna. In addition to the course facilities, you will have access to a swimming pool and endless kilometers of hiking & mountain biking trails for your enjoyment after hours!

The course will be taught in English to a diverse international audience.

Bliss Permaculture teachers Fraser Bliss and Viktoria Plank have travelled the world for five years working on aid projects, organic farms and exploring the unknown. They bring you the gems of permaculture directly from the pioneers in Australia. Fraser and Viktoria have been trained by Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton and have worked with David Holmgren. They have been teachers and farm managers at Mollison’s Permaculture Institute in Tasmania.

Fraser is a good researcher and independent-self starter. He is a mature person who is both clever and personable. Viktoria’s contribution was valuable to the development of the Permaculture Institute’s student program. Their student feed-back is 100% positive. — Bill Mollison
