Cal-Earth Institute and Midwest Permaculture are proud to announce a special event at the very end of our joint training program. Geoff Lawton of the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia and his wife Nadia will be giving a full day workshop on desert permaculture applications.

Midwest Permaculture and Cal-Earth have invited the Lawtons to share of their experience with desert climates. More specifically, we will ask Geoff and Nadia what lessons could be applied from their "Greening the Desert" experience to the Cal-Earth site which sits along the edge of the Mojave Desert in Hesperia, California.

11:00 Walk Cal-Earth Grounds and Brainstorm Desert Permaculture Applications

    I just wanted to thank you for coming to Hesperia and speaking to all of us. Your talk was just what I needed to get extra drive to dedicate my life to permaculture. I learned a hell of a lot more from the day class than I thought I would, thank you. I would like to do the 10 week training program with your organization, so hopefully I will be able to absorb some more of your expansive knowledge in the near future.
