Taken for a Ride – How General Motors Swindled a Nation
This 1-hour documentary shares the history of how General Motors deliberately swindled the U.S. public out of a superior, healthier public transport system — so as to replace the then-popular electric street cars with their own products: cars, buses and trucks. This deceit and selfishness has landed the American public in its current ultra-vulnerable position, where they: despite having only 4% of the world’s population are consuming 25% of the world’s oil; must endure hours of each day in oft-gridlocked traffic; and must even see their sons shot to pieces fighting far-flung wars over resources. Thanks GM.
We all realise how corrupt America is and they won’t change until the go broke very soon.
I know that many innovations for large increase in distance for less fuel have been shelved to suit the oil companies world wide profits. The biggest problem we have is with the Pharmaceuticals who have massive interest in keeping people unhealthy to sell their drugs and vaccines to keep us needing more for the side effects produced which is the same for the so poisoning by Fluoridation.
Vaccinations don’t work and only compromise the immune system.
A recent outbreak of Mumps in New York showed that 70% of those that contracted Mumps had been vaccinated.
This process was repeated here in Australia, in every city but Melbourne. Sydney had one of the most extensive tram networks in the world but successive governments dismantled it, bit by bit, to make room for cars. Even the electric trolley buses were scrapped. To add insult to injury, the Labor Premier who ripped out the last tracks, JJ Cahill, had a freeway named after him.
I agree with everything you said except the innovations part. I’ve often heard that repeated but never seen any evidence of it. Care to help me out? Its not that I doubt they’re capable of doing it, its just that increased oil consumption doesn’t benefit them directly and I’ve never seen the evidence.
