April 10-23 Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course in Marda village, Palestine

Join international Permaculture designers and teachers, Rhamis Kent, Klaudia van Gool and Murad Alkhufash at Marda farm, Palestine for a Permaculture Design Certificate Course (PDC). The PDC is an internationally-recognized seventy-two hour course resulting in a Permaculture Design Certificate. It provides an introduction to Permaculture design, as set forth by founder Bill Mollison. The PDC curriculum is based on Mollison’s textbook, “Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual”. The PDC serves as a foundation for further work and courses in Permaculture.
Course Content
In this 14-day course, students will learn about:
- the theory and principles of Permaculture
- eco-friendly house placement and design
- energy conservation techniques for hot and cold climates
- recycling and waste management
- organic food production
- water harvesting and management
- ecological pest control
- drought-proofing
- soil rehabilitation and erosion control
- livestock
- aquaculture
- catastrophe preparedness and prevention
- windbreaks and fire control
- some general natural health and wellness principles
In addition to standard course content, this course will also include opportunities for hands-on practical application, as well as field trips in the village area.
